Fishing
If you intend to fish, be aware a permit is required and is only available in Pt. Neamt (https://ajvpsneamt.ro/). Fishing gear should be brought or acquired locally, there is a fishing shop in Bicaz (Pescari Hoinari). Perch, pike, pikeperch, bass, carp, trout and other fish are all challenging you at the lake. Please observe the regulations and do note the requirement of keeping a log.

Swimming
The quality of the water is tested frequently, yet we advise you to form your own opinion on whether you should swim in the lake. After rainy days, the streams from the mountains will bring down pet bottles and other debris.
We do occasionally download the latest test reports (see; water quality) , but please understand we cannot update monthly.
Boating
Several sites around the lake offer boats, canoes and other equipment for rent. Do note this is all small scale.
